Winter portraits have stolen my heart this year. Finding brave souls to come out in the cold and let me mess around with lenses and poses while they froze their butts off was not an easy task. Well, the more sessions I did outdoors this winter the more everyone saw the beauty and uniqueness in these sessions. Trust me, I hate the cold. And the sound of snow under my feet. And getting snow in my boots. I could go on.
The lovely Asha Frost (so fitting for this session) said she wanted to some photos out in the snow just because. Probably one of my favourite reasons too. We all take the beauty in winter for granted when we could be taking time to make the most of it. Let’s be honest, about half and hour is all time one needs in the good old snow, but you can achieve images like no other. You can capture something that we are so set on avoiding.
I know spring is finally here but I can’t wait for next winter. Maybe I exaggerate a tad but I am less afraid of heading outdoors with clients and doing some stunning things!
See for yourself!
